Thought Process and Rationale

I chose the test items because I wanted the students to be able to use a multiple choice and matching format in order for them to have to think about their answers more thoroughly.   I agree with the text that using a correct order of lists, along with good directions will help the student be able to chose the correct answers.  Also, making sure that all options are plausible distractions for each description ensures homogeneity of lists.

Using the information gained in Test Item #3, regarding the four separate food items chosen, the students will write about the food items and the difficulties faced by the attending parties to grow, gather, or prepare the food items.  This essay will be used to help the student learn about the difficulties faced by both parties along with the true meaning of the first American Thanksgiving.
